Giddy-up, grill masters! Leading kitchen solutions company Reynolds Wrap is joining the summer giveaway fun with its inaugural sweepstakes: the Wild West Steak-cation.

About the sweepstakes

In order to enter, consumers had to: (1) purchase a roll of Reynolds Wrap heavy duty foil, (2) take a picture of themselves grilling with it, and (3) submit the photo on Reynolds Wrap’s website.

One winner will be selected to experience a variety of “western activities” in Yellowstone, Montana with a plus one, including a four-night vacation at a “ranch-style resort,” where they will be served steak at every meal. They’ll also get the chance to ride horses with “a real cowboy” and try their hand at roping, as well as test their chops in an open-fire grilling class. Additionally, the company is choosing five runners-up to receive a free four-month supply of foil and steak. 

Embracing the experiential

Hosting a sweepstakes may be considered an unconventional move for a tin foil company, but its instincts are in the right place. Younger generations are becoming increasingly immune to “traditional” marketing techniques – and Reynolds Wrap believes its Wild West Steak-cation provides a novel opportunity to engage these rising consumers. As the company’s senior brand manager, Emanuel De Luca, recently shared:
