Audi has commissioned Swedish artist, Anne-Li Karlsson, to create an artistic model demonstrating their vision for urban mobility. Called “Electric Story,” the project combines Karlsson’s creative talent with conductive ink technology to create a magical model city with only paper and ink, complete with functioning electric lights.

Using the tagline ‘electricity can lead to beautiful things’ the advertisement is being used to promote Audi’s new electric vehicle, the E-tron Quattro, an all-electric, luxury sport SUV, which will be unveiled in early 2018.

Karlsson’s art uses an E-tron battery for its power source, showcased by the tiny functioning model of the E-tron Quattro incorporated into the cityscape, which switches on the lights in its path as it travels throughout the city.

The Quattro promises to lead the way for electric SUVs, featuring three engines on the axles and a battery range of 310 miles after a 50-minute charge.  Other unique features of the car include solar panels on the roof that assist in charging the battery, OLED displays, and multiple cameras that eliminate the need for rear and side mirrors and contribute to the vehicle’s aerodynamics.

Their creative advertisement skilfully parallels the artistic beauty and innovative technology of their new electric SUV.
