On June 8, Lamborghini unveiled their first-ever life-size Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 made entirely out of LEGOs.

LEGO my Lambo

Created in collaboration with LEGO, the car was designed and built over the course of nine months, with teams putting in close to 9,000 hours of work to bring it to fruition. Featuring over 400,000 individual LEGO pieces, the model was built in order to promote LEGO’s Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 kit that was released last year. While the life-size model is eight times bigger than the one available for purchase, the features are essentially identical – from the sleek acid green exterior and gold-rimmed tires to the steering wheel featuring Lamborghini’s logo.

Lamborghini also released an inside-look video showing how the pieces fit together.

Making more than headlines

This isn’t LEGO’s first foray into life-size model car-building: in the past five years, the company has built life-size models of a Ferrari, a McLaren 720S, and a McLaren Senna – just to name a few.

The models are not just a great way to make headlines; more importantly, they remind customers of the endless possibilities of what you can create with LEGOs.
