By now most people are familiar with digital assistants, like Siri, or Microsoft’s upcoming Cortana.  These services can be useful when they work, streaming the way people use their devices and offering another dimension to the interaction.

The difficulties arise when the assistants don’t recognize a command or misinterpret something.  This is due to the unavoidable lack of a human element, but Fetch aims to fix that by, well, adding the human element.

Fetch is a consumer app where you send text or images in, and get results sent back to you by a professional shopper.  However, the app has just been updated to include features such as flight and hotel booking, movie and concert tickets, sending flowers, etc.

While it’s not quite as extensive as having your own personal assistant, it does cost significantly less, and boasts the ability to respond to your requests in less than 10 minutes, with guaranteed lowest prices.  To find the app, look here.  For more information, TechCrunch has written up a detailed review.
