Valentine’s Day is coming up, and even if your company doesn’t sell flowers, chocolate, or teddy bears, the holiday can still provide lots of opportunities to gain exposure for your brand.

Here are some Valentine’s Day marketing ideas:

  1. Invite your followers to “Share the Love”

Ask your followers to share on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram what they love the most about your organization, and offer a small prize. The winner can either be picked at random, or you can pick whoever has the best story.

Make sure to create a unique hashtag and/or require that entries have your organization’s name in the post; that way you earn more exposure for your brand.

  1. Create a post or video with gift ideas

This works best if your company has an online store. Design a post or video with unique gift ideas, and include items from your brand. It can help drive business to your online store!

  1. Don’t forget Pinterest

Pinterest is one of the first places people go to for Valentine’s Day ideas. Share pins with DIY ideas, Valentine’s Day recipes, and date ideas. To make it more personal, you can even share ideas from the different employees at your organization; this awesome truffle cake recipe is what made Jane’s husband fall in love with her, etc.

  1. Share the love – back to your followers

Send an email to your followers telling them that you appreciate them, and offer a special Valentine’s Day sale or discount in your online store.

  1. Offer free valentines

If you have a talented graphic designer, have them design some super cute e-cards or printable valentines that your audience can share with their family and friends. Make sure to have your organization’s logo somewhere on the card, to pique people’s curiosity. It’s something that costs little money, but it’s a great way to familiarize people with your brand.

But, if you do nothing else:

  1. Share social posts to wish your followers a Happy Valentine’s Day

Find some cute photos with hearts or chocolate and share them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram wishing your followers a Happy Valentine’s Day and telling them to enjoy spending time with those they love!
