A new device from Huggies promises to make life a little simpler for the parents of newborns. TweetPee connects directly to your baby’s diaper and sends out an alert via text or Twitter when it’s time for the diaper to be changed. So how does it work?

TweetPea was designed to fit “comfortably and safely” on baby, measuring moisture levels until it detects that the diaper has become wet. From there, parents have the ability to set permissions on how they’d prefer to be notified. The device also monitors the overall number of diapers used, predicts future usage, and allows parents to order more with just a few clicks.

But parents in the U.S. will still need to wait a bit longer to get their hands on TweetPee, since it was developed by Ogilvy for Huggies Brasil and is currently only available in South America. But be on the lookout for tweets about dirty diapers to start hitting your feed!
