Tinder– the popular but somewhat disreputable chatting/dating/meetup app- is nothing if not effective. By removing almost all of the frills (i.e., profiles, quizzes, text) found on typical dating sites, Tinder makes the connection between certain individuals instant and easy.
Networkr is a work-related app that hopes to cash in on some of Tinder’s success. Powered by LinkedIn contacts, Networkr wants to help you move your business interests forward by upping your networking game. It lets you view potential business matches in your vicinity and then decide whether to connect or not, making the argument that professional networking is that simple.
This isn’t the first app to tout proximity-based networking, but Networkr sets itself apart with an initial focus on conferences and events, where there is most certainly a need for fast and easy networking.
