Twitter is rolling out an update to its search results.  For those who are used to seeing Twitter search results you may have noted the “Top Images” and “Top Videos” section to the left of the results.  In the makeover of the search function the “Top Images” will now appear above the tweet results.  Web searches have been growing increasingly focused on visuals and Twitter has noticed.  It is estimated that in 2013 90% of online traffic will be video.  That too is no surprise, as 90% of all information collected by the brain is visual.

Think about what that means for your business!  Are you implementing video on your website, blog, social media?  If you’re not you will miss out on 90% of your potential traffic!

These two videos demonstrate the importance of the two most valuable content pieces online: Infographics and Videos.

In 2013, text heavy sites will virtually disappear in favor of interesting visual content that will grab the eye and draw leads to your business.  According to the video “Facts About Online Video”, adding a video on your website makes it 53 times more likely to appear on the first page of Google.  That’s a statistic no company can afford to ignore.

Using video to supplement your content isn’t new or innovative.  It’s necessary.  Are you staying relevant? What are you doing to keep from falling behind?  Share your ideas on the OPUSfidelis Facebook page.
