RESTON, VA—David G. Lejeune, CEO of OPUSfidelis, announced today that the strategic communication and social media agency is expanding its offerings to include a full-service public relations practice.

“There were several key factors that made adding public relations to our lineup of services the natural, logical next step in our firm’s evolution,” stated Lejeune. “Over the past several years, we have focused on innovating and adopting the best online marketing and social media publishing practices, and many of our successful campaigns have included supporting several public relations initiatives. This, combined with the existing in-house expertise we have in our vice president, Joe Giganti, made the decision to officially add public relations obvious.”

Giganti has worked in all facets of the media and broadcasting business for more than two decades. This includes more than seven years at the helm of Veritas Media Group, Inc., (VMG), a D.C.-area public relations and production firm he founded in 2000. During this time, Giganti worked on a wide range of projects including representing former Miss America (2001) Angela Perez Baraquio Grey, and reality TV star Tarek Saab (NBC’s “The Apprentice”); promoting the release of several major films, including “The Nativity Story” and “Bella;” spearheading multiple advocacy campaigns for major think tanks and non-profits; and consulting on numerous congressional, gubernatorial and presidential political campaigns.

“Communications is a dynamic and exciting process that is constantly changing and evolving. OPUSfidelis is uniquely poised to combine the ‘old’ and the ‘new’—that is combining traditional public relations processes with the best in social media targeting, messaging and publishing practices to create a communications juggernaut,” said Giganti. “Social media not only allows us to deliver an important message directly to the people, but empowers them to become part of the effort itself. We’ve seen this most recently when Facebook and Twitter were successfully used to draw the media’s attention to stories the public thought were being unduly ignored.”
