Just yesterday, LinkedIn announced and launched a redesign of their homepage. As others have noted, it seems to be a mashup of LinkedIn’s previous homepage and various other social media sites’ latest updates to their homepages. Let’s see what’s new.
The first thing that you’ll notice is that it’s now visually intensive, bringing life to the homepage. This is a welcomed change. You’ll notice an updated design that LinkedIn says will make page navigation easier, allowing you to view the content you want quickly.
LinkedIn has now brought the most relevant updates to the top of your feed, allowing you to see what important connections are up to and to provide users relevant professional news and updates.
LinkedIn also hints that “[t]his is just the beginning of many more exciting, new features we plan to bring to the Homepage to offer more customization and functionality this year.” It’s great to see that LinkedIn is looking to better their user experience, especially after the recent issues they’ve had regarding privacy and security. The updated homepage is scheduled to roll out to all users over the next few weeks. If you’ve received the update, let us know what you think. If not, here’s a preview below.
