20th Century Fox’s profitable movie series Taken, with Liam Neeson, is getting ready to debut its third installment in the franchise, and all signs are pointing to a box office hit.

For one thing, the marketing for the film is taking some interesting avenues, such as offering endorsements to LinkedIn users.

As a mostly career-focused social network, LinkedIn allows people to endorse particular skills of those they’re connected to, in order to give potential employers or connections an idea of a user’s abilities.  Taken 3 now gives fans a chance to have Neeson’s character (who become popular after ominously warning a group of antagonists about his own, particularly violent, skills in the first film) endorse their skills on LinkedIn, after entering a contest.  Just go to fox.co/Taken3LinkedIn.com and follow the instructions.  A winner will be announced the week of Jan. 4.
