Have you heard about the Hobby Lobby challenge? All the rage on social media, the challenge requires taking photos in the floral section of Hobby Lobby or similar craft store, making it appear as though you are in a botanical garden.

The originator of the challenge was professional photographer Kelsey Maggart, who posted about a shoot in Hobby Lobby at the end of January.

The post went viral, and teens all over the country have been trying their hand at shooting in the craft store, much to the chagrin of the chain’s employees, who say that the glamour shot-chasers have been trashing the floral aisles of the stores.

Ugly location challenges are not new for photographers. One photographer recently went viral for a photoshoot she did in a Lowe’s hardware store.

Predictably, the fad has also earned a lot of ridicule. This tweet simultaneously making fun of the challenge and the presidential portrait is one of the best:

Hobby Lobby employees may complain about the fad, but it’s earned the store a lot of publicity in the past couple weeks. Plus, at least it’s better than eating Tide pods.
