Nothing says sustainability like the sound of bacon frying – if it’s Greenfield Natural Meat Co. bacon, that is. In an unprecedented move, the carbon-neutral food manufacturer recently launched a campaign showcasing the sounds of its bacon.

How Greenfield’s “Bacon is Rain”

Inspiration for the “Bacon is Rain” campaign was born after TikTok users recently discovered that the sound of frying bacon often represents the sound of rain falling on movie soundtracks. Using the topic as a springboard, the team at Greenfield Natural decided to take its carbon-neutrality to a whole new level and create “a library of ‘rain’ sounds for the planet.” With the help of marketing agency No Fixed Address and audio house Grayson Music, Greenfield Natural recorded a range of “high-definition sizzles” of its bacon for people to use in their film and audio projects. Each of the 10 tracks is free to download on SoundCloud, so whether you’re looking for the sounds of a “bacon rainforest” or “tin roof bacon,” Greenfield has got you covered.

Not only did Greenfield feature these eco-friendly bacon-rain sounds in its latest video advertisement, but the company even installed a weather-activated billboard in Toronto that shows images of its bacon frying when it begins to rain.

Bacon that gives back

As part of its efforts to ensure a healthy future for our planet, for every bacon track that is downloaded, Greenfield Natural Meat Co. is also donating to the non-profit One Tree Planted, helping support reforestation efforts around the world.

Vice President of Brands at Maple Leaf Foods & Greenfield Natural Meat Co., D’Arcy Finley, shared about the campaign:

The campaign is set to run across the United States and Canada, with both out-of-home and digital advertisements.
