Facebook has invited reporters to come to its headquarters in Menlo Park on March 7th.  Once again, Facebook will unveil updates to the world's most popular social media site.  News Feed is about to get a new look, but what exactly will be changing?

Well, we don’t know.  Usually when Facebook makes this sort of announcement, it comes with very little detail.  Mashable didn't even try to speculate this time, like they did in the days leading up to Facebook's Graph Search launch.  Some had even speculated that Facebook was launching a Facebook phone.

This time, news outlets are playing it safe and simply discussing changes that are already being tested in New Zealand.  There are some interesting things happening to Timeline down there, but the one that really sticks out is the addition of a “Like This Page” button when users share content.  Not to be confused with the “like” button below every post.  This new feature gives users the option to like the page itself, which will likely show up on the page's Facebook share button.

This feature offers businesses and other pages a new way to get engagement.  What will the analytics of this new feature mean for businesses?  That remains to be seen.  At the moment, Facebook’s analytics features aren’t really functioning properly and they have released a press release to that effect.  So until we can trust the page analytics from Facebook, we can’t really know how this change will affect them.

One thing is certain.  On March 7th, a lot of people are going to be blogging about Facebook.  We’ll keep you posted as information becomes available.
