Branch is a link-sharing website that encourages friendly conversation built around links shared between friends, and conversations between customers, experts, and communities.  The conversations can be about links shared from news sites or webpages, The service has now been acquired by Facebook, in a reported $15 million deal.  

The New York based Branch team will now put their efforts towards Facebook’s new Conversations group, in an effort to help people connect through shared interests.
