Most people love traveling, or more accurately, they love experiencing a new place. However, as many people will attest, the process of traveling itself can quickly wear thin. It can take days to complete the wearisome process of organizing, packing, repacking, getting to the airport, waiting in line, ad infinitum. If only there was a way to snap your fingers, and have some of that laborious work taken off your plate.
Well, there may be! Dufl is its name, and helping you pack, travel, and have clean clothes is its game. The service will send you a Dufl-branded suitcase, which you can haphazardly stuff with whatever clothes you want, and then ship it to their central location. Dufl will create a private online wardrobe of all your clothing, then meticulously fold everything, repack it, and send it to your destination, all before you even arrive. Once you’re ready to head home, you repeat the process. They will clean everything you packed, and ensure that it all arrives speedily to your home.
Everything is done through a mobile app, which tracks your suitcase and clothes at all times. The online inventory is useful if you have a lot of clothes, as you can let outfits sit at the hub and then select them from your virtual closet on your next excursion.
It’s a luxury service, no way around that, and boasts a luxury price tag. There is a $10 a month fee for the virtual closet, and a $100 flat fee roundtrip for the suitcase valet aspect. According to TechCrunch, “Dufl has raised a total of $2.5 million in seed funding and has been operating a beta of around 100 users. The company now plans to go live across the country, with hopes to go international very soon.”
So, the next time you are dreading packing your suitcase, just remember: there is an easier way. Would a service like Dufl be worth it to you?
