Are you a Twitter user? Have you ever been frustrated because you can’t see everything you’ve said in the past? If so, Twitter has an answer for this. Twitter CEO Dick Costolo mentioned to reporters and editors at The New York Times that they’re working on a solution to allow users to export their old tweets.

With Twitter’s continued growth has come the increasing demand for the ability to search through old tweets. Other social media sites already make this data available, and their are some third-party services that give access to some of Twitter’s old messages.

While Mr. Costolo acknowledged that Twitter is working on the solution for user’s personal tweets, he said there isn’t any work being done on bringing Twitter’s past timeline available for searching, as it is a much different scenario. He also could not give any timeline on when the tool to search personal tweets would be available.

This is good news for Twitter users, who will soon be able to access all their data. For our Twitter users, are you ready to see what you’ve tweeted in the past? Twitter has long been an outlet for immediate expression in the social world, so it could be interesting for some users to see what they’ve said about current events in that moment.
