With the confines of character limits, images are godsends in the social media world. As always though, there are multiple factors to consider when choosing the best image, as well as the best type of image.

File names are a prosaic feature during any internet session, which is why it is easy to dismiss the importance of file types. However, if you are concerned about file size, then it would be an egregious mistake to us a PNG file instead of a JPEG (and yes, JPEG does stand for something). On the other hand, if you have a stunning photograph whose properties you want to display, regardless of file size, then don’t select that JPEG option.
