OPUSfidelis is a big fan of Clicktime, a timesheet program that is inexpensive, efficient, and beautifully designed. So when we found out about the Clicktime app, we were eager to try it out.
It has been a month of constant use and, while it certainly saves time, there are some irritations. While Clicktime itself is highly recommended for any business for efficient project management, the mobile app is not yet at a point where it syncs well. Rows of content added from your computer show up on your phone, but not vice versa, and the desktop version of the software has been reporting errors that do not exist (we checked) ever since a time sheet via mobile was submitted for the first time. And since the app doesn’t appear to sync in real time, you can’t use it to enter time if you forget to punch out before shutting down your computer.
Still, we would recommend it to our readers because though it is flawed, it is still a great mobile solution. It is also very new, and later versions will fix many of these bugs. Keep in mind, the app is also free. So, at least for now, you get what you pay for.
We do a lot of work where we can't always be at our desks, whether it's traveling, meeting with clients or interviewing job candidates. Now the Clicktime app is beneficial for keeping track of all business projects, uploading expense receipts remotely, and staying organized on the go.
