Here at OPUSfidelis, we are always on the lookout for the next social platform, and are excited when one starts emerging.  There are a ton of formats for innovation to fill, and more are being developed by the day.

A lot of success has been found in the merging of old and new tech, because it has the potential to reach a double-demographic.  Namely, the older generation that is still interested in keeping up with the changes, and the younger crowd that looks for nostalgic-feeling applications.  Mycronews is attempting to reach this two-for-one demographic with their take on social TV.

Mycronews is a start-up that turns your Facebook news feed into personalized videos, complete with a newsfeed “ticker” scrolling across the bottom. This is a style that many people are very familiar with, but applied in an exciting new way.  You can also incorporate your favorite Vines into the video.

If this trend catches on, you could see the news and your newsfeed all on one screen, which would have a pretty large viewer base, it’s safe to say, and it would also increase the relevancy of broadcast media.

How would you feel about watching the news and having your Facebook updates scroll by?  Share your thoughts on our Facebook page.
