With more than 1400 new App Store submissions every day, if you have a great idea for an app, now is the time to take the next step!

Honestly, there’s a very good chance that whatever idea you have has already been thought of, but luckily it’s not just the idea that counts!  The real key to success is how you put that idea into action.  Mashable sat down with Rameet Chawla, founder of the product development company Fueled, and talked with him about the elements that make for a successful app.

Chawla has quite a few apps under his belt, and that experience really shows.  He explains first that the audience you are hoping to target is a big factor in developing any app.  “If you have a standard interface and you put that in front of millennials, they’ll know what to do, but they won’t be turned on by that,” Chawla says.  “They know you can push the limits with technology, so they want you to push it.  For millennials, innovation is the key.”

Chawla goes on to talk about how popular messaging apps have become, but with an important divide between person-to-person messaging and wide audience messaging.  “I think that gap might be solved by a good interface or by one specific feature. We know there’s a void, but can we hit that void? It’s such a large challenge and I’m really excited by it.”
