In downtown Indianapolis is an office building full of Macs, dubbed the Super Bowl Social Media Command Center. From this office, over 50 people composed of staffers and area college volunteers are monitoring social media any and all social media buzz surrounding Super Bowl XLVI (46).

From here the social media team is monitoring many social media accounts, from @superbowl2012 to the official Facebook page of Super Bowl 46. They’re looking out for many things, from traffic and parking issues, safety issues or concerns, any kind of terroristic threat, and of course any and all celebrities talking about the event.

With the Super Bowl being the most watched American television broadcast of the year, many will be tweeting and updating statuses about amazing plays and the funniest commercials. What will you be watching for, the game, the commercials, the halftime show, or just hanging out with good friends?
