With privacy being high on the Christmas list for many this holiday season, certain apps and services have definitely been feeling some pressure.  As one of the apps facing the closest scrutiny, Snapchat has stated that it would be taking a harsher stance with third-party snapchat clones in order to ensure greater security for users and help reinforce their good name, and it appears that the social image messaging app is staying true to their word.

Due to the lack of an official Snapchat available to Windows Phone users, third party apps have been fairly successful on the platform, but this is all coming to an end, as Snapchat is reportedly forcing the unofficial software off the Windows Phone app store, and locking the accounts of those who use them.
